Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding between National University of Civil Engineering and Esri Vietnam

On the 25th February 2019 at the National University of Civil Engineering (NUCE), the Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding between National University of Civil Engineering and Esri Vietnam was organized.

Joining the Signing Ceremony, on behalf of NUCE: Assoc. Prof. Pham Xuan Anh – Vice-Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice-Rector; Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Hoang Giang – Director of Office of International Cooperation; Assoc. Prof. Hoang Tung – Dean of Faculty of Highway and Bridge Engineering; Dr. Tran Dinh Trong – Vice-Dean of Faculty of Highway and Bridge Engineering. On behalf of Esri Vietnam: Mr. Wuttiboon Faamnauypol – General Director; Ms. Do Ha Linh – Marketing Director; Ms. Bui Le Trang – Executive in Business Development.

Esri is the leading company in GIS and has been established in Vietnam for more than a decade, when the concept of GIS was still brand new in Vietnam. During the past decade, Esri has been distributing products and services to hundreds of customers and organizations in Vietnam through local retailers. Esri Vietnam Company Limited was established in January 2008 as a 100% foreign fund company, joint-venture between Esri Inc. (USA) and Esri Thailand. Esri Vietnam was setup with the goal of providing customers with the best and the fastest products, services and supports.

At the Ceremony, NUCE and Esri Vietnam reach the agreement of: Continuously promote the collaboration in sharing and exchanging knowledge in the application of GIS in research and education among faculties, staffs and students; thus develop a GIS Center for NUCE; Promote the use of GIS to nurture spatial mindset, and as the main technology for staffs and students to develop problem analysis and solving skills; Provide staffs and students access rights to the latest technology and tools of Esri to support academic and research activities.
